Sandstride Trees are gnarled, twisted trees that exhibit a shallow root system resulting in them often growing horizontally or diagonally as river streams or storms move them. They have evolved to take advantage of this by growing their branches long and wide, allowing them to draw on underground water sources to survive when they are partially submerged in the ground.
