While it makes sense for the player camera to be completely unconstrained in the editor, there should be some way to specify where the world bounds end for the map being designed. This way, the player is unable to go beyond the designed map area and see the "edge of the world".

This boundary should ideally be visualized in the editor somehow, and easy to update on the fly.
